Thinking of our US family, friends and customers today.
We will be closed for the rest of the day today. Our guys work so hard for us, it was time to take a break and celebrate the amazing team we have in place. We are heading to a day time Jays game followed by an amazing dinner at WVRST.
We are back open tomorrow, regular hours.
Wishing all of our American friends, family and supporters a Happy Independence Day.
Have a great day!
Just wanted to wish all our fellow Canadians a safe and happy Canada Day! We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful country. Enjoy your long weekend!
We will be back at it on Tuesday, July 2nd.
This beast was 1400lbs. It took an army of men to get this into the house without damaging anything. We used chain fall to safely lower the stair into place. We installed a similar stair above these stairs using the same technique.
We are beyond stoked to let you all in on a little secret we have been keeping for quite some time. We basically ran out of space in our 2nd year of business and have been coping with it since. We have been on the hunt for a facility that would compliment what we do and found one that is absolutely perfect. Our shop and office space will be 3x larger than what we currently have. This will be huge for us on all fronts
Stay tuned for more details…………………………………..here is a teaser.
Here is a rad time lapse of the boys hoisting up a mega heavy steel mono-stringer. We installed solid 1-3/4” hickory treads and will be adding stand-off glass with matching black hardware.
Check out Zack and Trevor making quick work out of this full assembly on-site. The stairs are fastened from the underside using predrilled holes we made with our Kreg jig. Enjoy!
Check out this time lapse of Zack & Mitch building an open part 2 side red oak stair. Enjoy!
Full time with benefits.

4yrs ago today we opened our doors for business. Special thanks to the guys who make it all happen, the hardest working crew in the game. Hats off to our customers who let us do our thing, we would not be here without you! Work hard, stay humble. Happy bday Stairhaus!
Happy Family Day from our family to yours!
We are halfway through winter and we are busier than ever! I just wanted to take a quick minute of your time and remind you all to plan ahead! We are currently 2-3 weeks for carpet grade stairs, 4-5 weeks for stain grade standard stairs and 5-6 weeks for open rise stairs. If you want fabricated steel stairs we are currently booked out 8 weeks.
Wishing all of our family, friends, followers and customers a Happy New Year!
All the best in 2019! We have big plans, can’t wait to share them with you!
Check out this awesome before & after we recently completed for our friends Alair Homes (Collingwood). What a huge change!
99% of the time stairs are the FIRST thing you see when you walk into a house! Make them pop like this customer did!
How it’s done! Here is the removal of a tired carpet grade stair and the installation of a red oak open rise set. Stairs can be crazy heavy and renovation scenarios can make installations tricky. Watch our install boys make it look easy. TEAMWORK! Job location: Barrie, ON.
Make sure you grab a copy and check us out in the latest @docksidepublishing “Best of Winter”. This is can be found in the Simcoe, Southern Georgian Bay and Muskoka areas.
Here is how we install stairs with built in landings. There are several advantages if you have your landings built into your stairs - no support posts is the biggest! This creates the cleanest look, obstruction free. Enjoy!
Help us help out our furry friends! We are stoked to be a part of this great endeavor, proudly supporting the Ontario SPCA, Street Cats Rescue & Furry Friends. Check out the poster that has the wish list for everyone's favorite four-legged furry friends! You can drop off anything you think they may need at any of the locations listed. Special thanks to Jon (MacNeil Construction) for spearheading this Christmas drive!
