If you are thinking about starting a renovation or new build project, it can be very overwhelming! We have put together a list of items we feel are helpful for customers to have ready to utilize throughout the process.
1. Plans/Photos of Existing Stairs & Railings
By providing us with architectural drawings, or photos of your existing stairs/railings, we can base your budgetary estimate off of the size and layout of your space. This ensures that we are able to get you an accurate quote based on the dimensions of your project.
2. Design Inspiration
Whether it is a sample photo from our Instagram, or something else that you have come across, design inspiration photos are helpful to narrow down what style you would like to see included in your quote. If you have more than one idea in mind, we are always happy to explain the differences between designs, including any costs associated with different design profiles.
3. Flooring
It is important to consider what flooring you will be using for your project when you are thinking about stairs and railings. We often recommend going with the same wood species that you will be using for your flooring so that it is easiest to match the finish on your stairs/railings when you go to stain.
Based on the above information, we should be able to get you a budgetary estimate for your project. Making decisions for a renovation or new build project can be very daunting, but we are here to walk you through the process and provide as much assistance as possible!

These features require custom measurements and design, so it is always important to consider this early on in the design process!

Do your stairs need a refresh but they are still in great shape?
Tread caps are a cost effective and appealing way to refresh tired, outdated stairs. Tread caps are installed over the existing treads ensuring that the staircase layout and design are not changed. Capping is an excellent solution to update stairs where the frame and stability of the current staircase is not an issue.
New railings, in addition to tread caps, can also completely transform a space. When combined, various materials such as wood, steel, and glass create eye-catching railing systems to be incorporated into any design.

Wow, what a wild time in our lives! We take the COVID-19 outbreak very seriously here at The Haus and wanted to let you know that we are doing everything we can to make sure our employees/customers are not exposed to this nasty illness.
We are not shutting down, we are not limiting our hours however we are closely monitoring who we see, our showroom visits and shop tours.
We hope this passes over sooner than later so that things go back to normal. Stay safe out there!

We will be closed for the rest of the day today. Our guys work so hard for us, it was time to take a break and celebrate the amazing team we have in place. We are heading to a day time Jays game followed by an amazing dinner at WVRST.
We are back open tomorrow, regular hours.
Here is a rad time lapse of the boys hoisting up a mega heavy steel mono-stringer. We installed solid 1-3/4” hickory treads and will be adding stand-off glass with matching black hardware.
Check out Zack and Trevor making quick work out of this full assembly on-site. The stairs are fastened from the underside using predrilled holes we made with our Kreg jig. Enjoy!

Happy Family Day from our family to yours!
We are halfway through winter and we are busier than ever! I just wanted to take a quick minute of your time and remind you all to plan ahead! We are currently 2-3 weeks for carpet grade stairs, 4-5 weeks for stain grade standard stairs and 5-6 weeks for open rise stairs. If you want fabricated steel stairs we are currently booked out 8 weeks.
