Whether you are planning a renovation to your existing stairs and/or railings or starting from scratch, taking the proper steps to bringing your stair vision to life will save you time, money and headaches
As soon as you decide to renovate or build, please contact us via email at info@stairhaus.com. By starting the design process early, you leave ample time to coordinate with yourself, builders and planners. It is a lot easier to create your dream stairs and meet expectations if you reach out to us as soon as possible.
Quoting Process:
If you are completing a renovation, please include in your email any pictures of your current stairs and railings as well as any inspiration pictures. If you don’t have inspiration pictures, feel free to check out our Instagram @stairhaus_inc and website for ideas and include them in your email.
If it is a new build, kindly include floor plans and pictures you have found for your new set of stairs and/ or railings. You will also want to include the flooring type (wood or tile) including the type of wood.
For any project (renovation or a new build) including the location of the project and your timeline is of great importance. 
It is also important to note specific design interests in your email. The more information provided the easier it will be for us to execute.
Once we receive your email one of our dedicated team members will review your request, discuss with you and provide you with a budgetary estimate. If you would like to move forward with the project a deposit is required to secure a place in our installation queue. Once we have a deposit on file, we will schedule a time for an onsite measure to confirm our quote. Shop drawings or renderings will also be provided for your final review and approval. We will also provide you with a timeframe for installation and contact you in advance to ensure your project is still on track. Final payment is due upon completion of your installation.

DESIGN FEATURE - FLOATING STAIRS

Cantilevered stairs, often referred to as "floating stairs", create a statement piece in any design!

Cantilevered stairs are created by installing a hidden steel stringer. The treads are then fastened to this system giving the effect of a "floating" appearance. Cantilevered steel stairs are extremely durable, safe, and a add a high end finish to any design!

When installed with a glass guard, these stairs create an open, airy, and modern aesthetic to add to your design.

Ontario Building Code - Proposed Changes

Important reminder! Ontario is proposing to harmonize the Ontario Building Code (OBC) with the National Building Code 2015 (NBC) for guard rails.

This change, already accepted in other Canadian provinces, will allow horizontal elements like cable rail in guard design.

Remember to voice your support! Anyone can voice support for harmonization and reduce government regulation. Go to geobezdan.com/NBC to review the proposed changes and register your support.

THANKSGIVING HOURS

Labour Day Weekend is upon us already!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Just like that, 2020 is coming to an end and the New Year is almost here!

While 2020 has certainly had it's challanges & difficulties it has also been filled with some amazing projects & opportunities - we've been a part of some incredible builds and renovations, started a brand new business and moved in to our new building. We are defintiely grateful to be where we are, and look forward to all that this New Year will bring.

Our office and shop will be CLOSED on New Year's Eve & New Year's Day and we will resume our regular business hours on Monday January 4th. Thank you again to all have supported us throughout this year, we can't wait to see what 2021 has in store for us!

Christmas & New Year's 2020

It seems hard to believe that the year is coming to an end already and Christmas is right around the corner! Things have been busier than ever in both our Steelhaus & Stairhaus shops and we owe it all to the loyalty and support of our customers who have partnered with us throughout these unceratin times - Thank You.

We will be adjusting our hours slightly during both the week of Christmas and the week of New Year's to give our team a well deserved break. We will resume our regular business hours on Monday January 4th. Our adjusted Hours will be as follows:

Steelhaus Inc.

If you've been following us over the past several months you may have noticed that its been a big year for the Stairhaus team. We bought our own building and set up shop in our 300 Vespra location and in the midst of global pandemic, we even started a new business! This past March, our sister company Steelhaus Inc. opened their doors at the 20 Mills location in the south end of Barrie - as you can imagine, starting a brand new business during a pandemic definitely brough it's own set of challanges, but all thanks to the incredible support of customers like you, Steelhaus has been busier than ever.

Steelhaus specializes in custom steel fabrication of many varieties and often times works closely alongside the Stairhaus team to provide customers with top quality, custom steel products. Whether it be c-channel stringers, mono stringers, spiral stairs, custom fabricated railing systems, interior or exterior, Steelhaus does it all!

You'll often see Steelhaus featured on our social media but a great place to keep tabs on the incredible projects they have on the go is to follow their pages as well: you can find them on facebook & instagram at Steelhaus Inc.
