We recently installed and hooked up our tread LED's in our showroom mono-stringer. The lights fit amazing and provide the right amount of light.
There are many ways we can incorporate lighting in stairs. If interested please let us know!

Time flies when you're having fun! Today marks 1yr since both Dylan and I opened the doors here at Stairhaus. We are very fortunate to have amazing staff (10 in total) and the best customers in the game. We would not have made it this far without the help & support from our family and friends (our wives especially). We are very lucky to be overwhelmed with work and are looking forward to what 2016 brings us. We are investing in new equipment all the time and recently bought a straight truck to make our delivery & installs easier. Thanks again for all of your support - we wouldn't have made it this far without you! Stay tuned for details regarding our official grand opening in May! Cheers - Matt & Dylan.
2" Walnut live edge slab with an epoxy finish.
Head on over to our gallery and check out some of our recent work!
The feature wall seems to be the "in" thing to do these days. If you have been in our showroom, there is no way you can miss the 2 big display walls we installed in 1" grey board. The character you get in the barn board is from decades of wind, rain, snow and sunshine. Generally the grey board has one side grey (outside of the barn) and the inside is brown, giving you 2 options for colour when installing on the wall.
The best way to install the barn board is by strapping out your existing wall with 1x2. After the wall is strapped, we suggest you get a roll of black tar paper (roofing paper) and staple it to the 1x2. This is a cheaper and faster way to "black out" the walls as painting it will take up a of time and money. The black background on the walls will allow none of the defects to show up. If the wall was white you would see through the cracks and nail holes, highlighting the defects.
We offer our barn board 2 ways, raw or dressed. You can save a little money and dress it yourself (ripping both edges of the boards so they are square) or we will dress/prep it for you.

Epoxy Resin Finish
In my opinion, the BEST way to finish a table top, live edge slab or any wood product where you want to see a crystal clear finish and have the highest level of protection. Epoxy self-levels to 1/8", creating a virtually indestructible surface. The result is a crystal clear, brilliant surface that accentuates the material below it. The epoxy resin is specially formulated to resist scratching and provide long lasting maintenance free protection for your surface.
Another cool use for an epoxy finish is that it can capture/protect materials added to a surface. For example, you could create a penny or beer cap table and fill all the voids with the resin. It will self level and lock everything down so it will never move again.

Here are a few more examples of epoxy resin finishes. If you want a finish like this, we have access to the materials and can have it professionally finished for you!
