Wow, what a wild time in our lives! We take the COVID-19 outbreak very seriously here at The Haus and wanted to let you know that we are doing everything we can to make sure our employees/customers are not exposed to this nasty illness.
We are not shutting down, we are not limiting our hours however we are closely monitoring who we see, our showroom visits and shop tours.
We hope this passes over sooner than later so that things go back to normal. Stay safe out there!
We are incredibly excited to announce our newest venture, STEELHAUS! Please follow @steelhaus_inc if you want to see our steel stairs/railings. We are keeping our 9000sqft facility in Barrie’s south end and turning it into a high end custom steel fabricating shop. This company will be running parallel with Stairhaus, as all of our steel will now be done in house.
This venture has been in the works for the last 8 months, we are finally ready for it to take flight. Steelhaus will officially open its doors March 1st, 2020. Please send any steel stair projects/inquiries to steelhausinc@gmail.com. Stay tuned for more info!

This beast was 1400lbs. It took an army of men to get this into the house without damaging anything. We used chain fall to safely lower the stair into place. We installed a similar stair above these stairs using the same technique.

Here is how we install stairs with built in landings. There are several advantages if you have your landings built into your stairs - no support posts is the biggest! This creates the cleanest look, obstruction free. Enjoy!

How it's done! This time lapse is of 2x mono-stringer installation/assembly on-site. Due to the stairs requiring double birds mouths, we are unable to swing them into position. How do we get around this? We have to build/laminate and veneer them in the hole. Stay tuned for the time lapse tread install.

Here is a quick time lapse of Mitch & Simon wrapping a wood mono-stringer. We use one layer of Stairhaus poly, 1 layer or cardboard with mdf tread covers stapled to each tread.

We are currently looking to add an experienced stair builder to our team. We provide all of the necessary tools/equipment, all you need to do is build us some sweet stairs. Open rise, closed rise, winderboxes, circulars and stair installations are all part of this position.
Experience in stair building is mandatory. We offer competitive wages, a great working atmosphere and the ability to grow within your position. Quality and the ability to work with our existing team are most important.

The beginning of the largest circular we have built to date. This helical inspired monster will have built in wall guards and negative rise infinity treads which will be backlit with LED's. The jig wall stands over 20' tall, so we had to build a temporary lamination station to get these glued up.
It took 11 of us to get this up and positioned in the right spot. More pics to come as this awesome stair comes to life.
