Wishing all of our friends south of the border a safe and fun 4th of July!
Enjoy the great weather and thanks for your support!
We will be closed this coming Friday as we will be busy celebrating our amazing countries 149th birthday. Canada IS the greatest country in the world and we are very fortunate to live here!
HAPPY EARLY CANADA DAY!
Looking for a cool way to make your house stand out a little more? A barn board/grey board feature wall is very easy to install and will change the entire look of a room. Here at Stairhaus, we sell our grey board 2 ways:
RAW - the material is de-nailed and dry (basically straight off the barn)
DRESSED - the material is de-nailed, dry and ripped to width (we will organize all the cut pieces in stacks of the same size) This material is ready to be installed on a wall.
Regardless of how you want to purchase the materials, if you want a tight fitting feature wall, then the material will have to be dressed.
The barns will be gone sooner than later, get this material before it is not available anymore!
Wolfgang is now the best looking straight truck in town thanks to our friends at @mariodesigns. Special thanks to @darreneagles (photography) and @bdonymous (graphic designer - Design Cabin) for making this truck look super sweet! #Stairhaus #stairs #railings #Isuzu #isuzunrr #straightruck #deliverytruck #diesel #advertising #marketing #brand #branding #professional
Meet Wolfgang, our brand new stair delivering machine! Having 3x stair installation days a week was starting to take its toll on our F250/trailer. We wanted to thank Greg over at Lewis Motor Sales for taking great care of us. Can't wait to show you this truck in a week as we are getting it wrapped - highlighting a job we recently got professional pictures of. Big thanks to @darreneagles for getting some killer shots.
Here is a time lapse video of a level curve railing glue-up. We ripped the white oak into thin strips then glued all the strips together. After the strips are coated in glue it is lifted up onto the blocks. The blocks are screwed to the template/radius of the curve we require. Once the rail is clamped we will leave it for 24hrs to dry.
We wanted to wish you all a safe and happy Victoria Day long weekend! We will be closing early today so our guys can get a head start on the weekend. The Haus will be closed on Monday, reopening on Tuesday (regular hours).
Party on!
We have some exciting news to share with you................we are expecting!
If you are familiar with the term "too many cooks in the kitchen" then you will understand why we need more space. The Stairhaus production facility is a bee hive of activity every day and we have outgrown our current facility. We will now have 8500sqft to work with which will significantly increase our efficiencies and productivity. We have another couple tricks up our sleeve to share with you however we will save that news for another day! Have a great Friday and enjoy your weekend!
Just wanted to send out a quick notice to our existing and new customers. We are currently slammed with work and need to send out this notice to make sure you all are planning well in advance. Here are some timing guidelines when it comes to stairs & railings:
Current wait time for stairs after measure:
Carpet Grade: 2-3 weeks
Stain Grade (standard stairs): 4 weeks (straight & winder stairs)
Custom Wood Stairs: : 5-6 weeks (self support/large circulars/mono-stringer)
Steel/Wood Custom Stairs: 6+ weeks
Railing Installs: 3 weeks (glass - add an additional 2 weeks to allow the glass to be cut)
We are working hard to make sure we make all of your deadlines. We are constantly investing in new equipment and staff to keep up with the order volume. If you have any questions/concerns please do not hesitate to give us a call or send me an email (matt@stairhaus.com).
Have a great week!
I just posted a bunch of projects we recently completed. Check'em out!
Probably one of the coolest/one-of-a-kind set of stairs you will ever see. We installed this monster mono-stringer yesterday after the very talented SAGE tagged it up. We commissioned Toronto's #1 graffiti artist to bring this stringer to life. The artwork wraps around all 4 sides and looks killer against the barn board/reclaimed steel feature walls. These stairs will be getting 3" reclaimed elm treads which are drilled for low profile LED lighting accents. More updates on this beauty in the coming weeks.
We are blown away with the attention this video received on our Stairhaus Instagram page. We have had over 17 500 views, 1100 likes and 800+ new follows. Thanks for the love and support! This stringer will be a showstopper in our nearly completed showroom. The back of the stair is channeled out for low voltage wiring. The 3" reclaimed elm treads will be drilled out for low profile LED's which will light up the stair at night.
We have some absolutely insane jobs lined up right now. Can't wait to show you these monsters come to life!
If you have an Instagram account, check us out! I promise you new content every day!
Cheers
Here is a quick video of the boyz cleaning up the back of our showroom mono-stringer on our SCM 2252 jointer.
I just updated our galleries again! Take a peak at some jobs we recently wrapped up.
Stay tuned for some professional pictures we have being taken of a few projects we wanted to highlight.
Cheers
Matt

In the last 6 months, 50% of the railings we have installed have had glass incorporated into them. There are many ways to install glass - channels, clips & stand-offs. Planning is the most important part of any glass railing. Glass does not bend and can't be cut on-site so everything has to line-up perfectly.
Here at Stairhaus, we plan railing systems first, then your stairs. Because we offer supply and install of railings, we always look at a job from a railing installers perspective. If stairs are not properly laid out, you can end up with a messy railing system or completely eliminate the possibility of a glass system.
Here are a few pictures of some recent glass projects we completed or are still under construction.
Time flies when you're having fun! Today marks 1yr since both Dylan and I opened the doors here at Stairhaus. We are very fortunate to have amazing staff (10 in total) and the best customers in the game. We would not have made it this far without the help & support from our family and friends (our wives especially). We are very lucky to be overwhelmed with work and are looking forward to what 2016 brings us. We are investing in new equipment all the time and recently bought a straight truck to make our delivery & installs easier. Thanks again for all of your support - we wouldn't have made it this far without you! Stay tuned for details regarding our official grand opening in May! Cheers - Matt & Dylan.
Spring is quickly approaching! We had a busier than normal winter, please plan as far ahead as possible when considering new stairs/railings & barn board. We are running 3-4 weeks for standard stair delivery currently!
Cheers from the Stairhaus team!
