Planning Your Project

If you’re beginning or even just thinking about beginning your stair & railing project here are a few tips and things to think about when getting started that help us to provide you with the best estimate we can!

  1. Timeline – Plan ahead! There can be lots of details to consider when it comes to selecting the style, design and material that will work best for your space – it is always best to give yourself time to think about these details and make your selections. Planning ahead also ensures that we have enough time to measure and build so we can do our best to work within your preferred timeline.
  2. Pictures, Plans & Drawings – Sending us any pictures, plans or drawings that you have access to for your project is the best place to start in order for us to put together your budgetary estimate. This gives us a clear idea of the space we are working with and what your options are so we can then factor all necessary detail into your estimate.
  3. Inspiration – Sending us photos – whether it be on our gallery or other social media platforms – that you feel capture the style/design you’re aiming for is very helpful. This ensures that we are on the same page as far as what you envision for the final product so we can better know what options to suggest.
  4. Selections – In order to finalize the details of your quote we will need to confirm the style of your stairs, handrail profile, post and guard style, wood species and hardware finishes. It may sound like a lot but of course we are happy to walk you through these selections and assist in making these decisions. Step 3 is definitely helpful in determining these details.
  5. Quote – Based on steps 2-4 we should be able to get a budgetary estimate to you. Once you’ve had a chance to take a look through if you decide you’d like to move forward with us we just need to process a deposit. After the deposit is received all that’s left to do is schedule your measurements, move forward with production and work toward your installation!
